As part of our advocacy work, we write to government officials, bringing to their attention issues that impact the LGBTQ+ community, holding them to account and asking for change.
Letter to Meta concerning the changes to their Hateful Conduct policy
On Friday 10th January, we published a letter to Meta concerning the changes to their content moderation policy. Their new policy presents a real threat to LGBTQ+ people, women and other minority groups. We urge Meta to act now to stand against hate, dehumanisation and inequality.
Letter to Google concerning the classification of the LGB Alliance
On Wednesday 8th January, along with WhatTheTrans?!, tacc.org.uk. Trans Safety Network, Feminist Gender Equality Network, IntermediaUK and Translucent.org.uk, we wrote to Google expressing our concern regarding the classification of the LGB Alliance as a credible LGBTQ+ organisation in Google Search results and through the Google Gemini AI platform.
Template letter to MPs raising concerns over the puberty blocker ban
On Wednesday 11 December, the UK Government confirmed that they will indefinitely extend the puberty blocker ban.
We have created a template letter that you can send to your MP to raise your concerns.
Letter to Angela Rayner - Thursday 25 July 2024
With the Feminist Gender Equality Network (FGEN), we wrote to Angela Rayner, expressing our deep disappointment regarding her statement on June 7th claiming that J.K. Rowling supports trans people, and explaining the importance of considering trans voices when discussing trans issues.
Letter to Wes Streeting 12 July 2024
On the 12th July 2024, we wrote to Wes Streeting, Secretary of State for Health and Social Care expressing our concern regarding your position on the emergency puberty blockers ban.
Letter to Anneliese Dodds 3rd July 2024
On the 3rd July 2024, we wrote to Anneliese Dodds following comments by Keir Starmer in an interview in The Times. We asked Mrs Dodds for clarifications on the Labour Party’s stance on trans people’s rights, and our concerns that should the Labour Party come into power, they will seek to make changes to the Equality Act (2010) to make it easier to discriminate against trans people.

On the 1st of June 2024, we wrote to Anneliese Dodds, Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities expressing our concerns regarding the treatment and policies affecting the transgender community in the UK and the wider sentiment of LGBTQ+ hostility.
